💩 Sacred Sharts & Soul Service: A Teaching on Prioritizing Your Own Needs

This morning, I had a very real moment that Spirit promptly turned into a sermon.
I got up late after a night of too-late bedtimes. The dog hadn’t been out yet, school was looming, and the pressure was on. In my rush, I thought:
Let me just sweep up the dog hair real quick before I pee… then I’ll take him for a walk.
But while sweeping, I made the mistake many have made before me.
I trusted a fart.

Spoiler alert: It lied.
Y’all… I had already pooped that morning. Like, full release, done and dusted. But here I was, broom in hand, needing a full shower and a change of clothes before I could even think about walking the dog. My entire schedule got delayed.
And yet… something deeper clicked.
🌬️ This Was a Holy Disruption
My body wasn’t malfunctioning.
It was intervening.
It was saying:
You’re rushing back into service. You're tending to the world before you’ve even finished tending to yourself.
Even though I thought I’d already “cleared” — physically and emotionally — my system knew there was residual energy still stuck, something unprocessed, or maybe even something I picked up overnight from the collective. It demanded a second release. And it gave me no choice but to stop everything and clean myself up.

🪞 What I Realized:
So often, we microwave our self-care just enough to say we did it — and then we barrel forward into tending the kids, the animals, the clients, the house, the world.
But when you live a life of service — especially as an energetic sensitive, healer, or caregiver — your system becomes incredibly attuned to what’s unfinished, ignored, or bypassed.
And sometimes…
if you won’t pause, the sacred mess will make you.
💡 The Medicine of the Moment:
Just because you already “pooped” doesn’t mean you’re energetically clear.
Sweeping up other people’s messes while ignoring your own is a recipe for leaks (literal and metaphysical).
Delaying your own replenishment in service to someone else’s needs will eventually create a forced pause.
🧼 My New Mantra:
I clear myself fully before I carry anything for others.
I release before I sweep.
I walk myself before I walk the dog.
(And I definitely don’t trust rogue morning farts.)

💖 Sacred Reminder:
You are allowed to not be ready.
You are allowed to need a second round of release.
You are allowed to shower before you serve.
And you are absolutely allowed to laugh at the divine comedy of it all.
So, the next time your body throws an unexpected plot twist, remember:
It might just be your Soul Doula saying,
Sit your sacred ass back down. We're not done yet.
