I can remember having this delicious dip at every family party growing up. Unfortunately, Hoffman House Shrimp Sauce is no longer available, however, I have mastered a cocktail sauce recipe that is just as yummy for this soon to be favorite dip at all your gatherings.
INGREDIENTS:
2C Ketchup
3-4TBSP ground Horseradish (to your taste)
2TBSP lemon juice
1tsp Worcestershire sauce
½tsp salt
¼tsp black pepper
16oz softened cream cheese
2- drained 6oz cans of crabmeat (your choice).
Drizzle of love
Always have love in your heart when working in your kitchen.
DIRECTIONS:
Mix cream cheese, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire, salt & pepper until smooth.
Fold in drained crabmeat.
Chill for 3 hours before serving.
TIPS:
Serve with Ruffles Ripple Potatoe Chips or Triscuits.
The longer it sits the tastier it will become.
Store for up to a week in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
Salad shrimp can be used in place of crab.
Philadelphia cream cheese is always best but not necessary.
Omit cream cheese and crab for a great cocktail sauce.
